France has taken Croatia down to become the 2018 FIFA World Cup Champions for the second time ever in the football finals. Holding out the Croats, the French took home the win with a 4-2 victory in Moscow.
The first two French goals came from the first-ever own-goal by Croatian Mandzukic and a video assistant referee awarded penalty (the first ever in a World Cup final), which gave France an early lead.
Kylian Mbappe, teenage soccer sensation, was given the best young player award for his first World Cup, and Croatia's Luka Modric was given the golden ball for player of the tournament.
250,000 French fans are expected to descend on the team in Moscow as they celebrate their victory.
