Santa Cruz skateboarding company was started in California in 1973 by Rich Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman, founders of NHS Inc. Famous in the 80's for its screaming hand logo designed by Jim Phillips and a great team performing in “Wheels of fire” movie. As the years passed Santa Cruz changed from manufacturing old-school decks to technically superior models with a double ended kick. Now supporting riders like Shuriken Shannon, Jason Jesses, Steve Alba, Cody Chapman, Santa Cruz is still 100% California influenced.
