Lil Wayne finally dropped his highly-anticipated album 'Tha Carter V' at the end of September and Billboard has officially reported the album has debuted at the coveted Number 1 position on the Billboard 200 charts.
The record launched with 480,000 equivalent album units, which is the third-largest week for an album so far in 2018, as well as having the second-largest streaming week ever for an album with 433 million on-demand U.S. streams during its debut week. Drake's 'Scorpion' was the only album to outdo 'Tha Carter V' this year.
Fans have been waiting since 2011 for this album so it's no surprise that the project has had such a high success.
