The Drake x Pusha T Beef May Finally Be Done

The Drake x Pusha T Beef May Finally Be Done

Pusha T... Drake... the seemingly never-ending loop of dissing and beef may finally be coming to its end. In some recent interview, Pusha has voiced what could be the final words on the matter entirely.

When Pusha T's highly anticipated album 'DAYTONA' released with the song 'Infrared' that fired shots at Drizzy, Drake responded with 'Duppy Freestyle' and then Pusha brought it back with 'The Story of Adidon'. The last diss insinuated that Drake had a secret child. At the Governor's Ball, Pusha T even had the crowd screaming out "Fuck Drake!" and it was then revealed that Drake wrote the hook for 'Yikes' off Kanye's new album 'Ye'.

According to J.Prince, Drake had another diss track ready to go that would have ended both Pusha T and Kanye's careers. J.Prince persuaded Drizzy to not release the track.

He said, "Well, I don't know about Lil Wayne, but [Drake] definitely was cocked and loaded. He definitely was ready to fire and I would say this, me and Kanye had spoke. I don't think he would mind me stating we had a conversation. This could have been a career-ending situation where he's concerned and it also could have damaged, I think, a whole lot of livelihoods."

It was looking like the beef was drawing to a close after the holding back of this track. Pusha said to Vanity Fair; “I mean, you know. These conversations have been had and, to my knowledge, it’s all over. It’s all over with. I mean, listen: I’m ready to be back to the music for real. Just feeding my base, that’s it. That’s the most important thing to me at all times.”

Even more recently, Pusha T was asked by GQ if he thought the alleged Drake diss track was a bluff, to which he responded: “You know, I don't know. I just feel like if there was something that was beneficial for either of those two guys, they would do it. I think they're into doing anything that's beneficial for them. I don't want to call them scared. I just want to say that they're thinking. They're doing what's best for them.”

Pusha also said he enjoyed the drama while it lasted, even when considering how social media has changed the landscape of what a 'rap feud' is. “It's different because there's a lot of sympathy and compassion and things like that I didn't know existed. That's why it's not even fun to me anymore. It's so weird. There's a sentimental aspect that I didn't know existed. But new rules. I'm learning and discovering a whole bunch of new rules in the rap game. And I'll just leave it at that.”

We must admit, we're a bit sad this whole thing is over because it was just so damn entertaining. Still, we're sure it won't be long until the next feud comes along, so stay tuned.
